About EHEPA
Ethiopian Health Education and Promotion Professionals Association (EHEPA)
Established in September 2021, the Ethiopian Health Education and Promotion Professionals Association (EHEPA) is a national professional organization dedicated to advancing the science and practice of health education, health promotion, and social and behavior change (SBC) in Ethiopia. Serving as a collaborative platform, EHEPA brings together professionals, practitioners, researchers, and advocates dedicated to improving public health outcomes through evidence-based social behavior change interventions and community engagement strategies.
EHEPA is legally registered as a local organization with Registry Number 5955 as of December 6, 2021, in accordance with the Civil Society Organizations Proclamation No. 1113/2019of Ethiopia.
What We Do
Designing Research Projects
Design, implement, monitor and evaluate research projects
Technical Support in Health Promotion
Provide technical support in health promotion/communication for different NGOs, CSO and academic institutions
Social & Behavior Change Material
Design, pre-test and audit social and behavior change (SBC) material
Knowledge Management & Evidence Synthesis
Engaged in knowledge management and evidence synthesis including SBC manuals, guidelines, strategies, evidence brief and policy brief development
Capacity Building Training
Provide capacity building trainings on SBC, risk communication and community engagement, qualitative research, advocacy, health literacy, behavioral insight, social marketing and community mobilization
