From 𝑶𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓 23–25, 2025, we have successfully conducted the First Manuscript Write-Up Workshop in Adama, as part of the third round of the Manuscript Writing and Publication Program. ✍ ✍ The workshop brought together researchers and consultants dedicated to advancing health promotion and social and behavior change (SBC) through evidence-based research. The three-day session focused on reviewing team progress, providing technical guidance, and jointly developing publishable manuscripts that contribute to evidence generation and knowledge sharing in the field. We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants, facilitators, and partners for their continued commitment to advancing research and practice in health promotion and SBC. 👏 👏

African SBC Summit Watch Party The African SBC summit watch party was prepared by the Ethiopia Health Education and Promotion Professionals Association (EHEPA) and facilitators from the Ethiopia country chapter. The watch party program focused on bringing together SBC practitioners, experts and EHEPA members to attend the virtual As-SBC Summit sessions together and reflect on the ideas and insights shared on the area of SBC to identify Key takeaways that can apply to the in Ethiopia context. This watch party was also intended to create networking and alliance among SBC experts. Selected poster presentations were also delivered by engaged presenters during the event. Manuscript writing and Publication orientation workshop from May 30-31, 2024

Call for manuscript writing and Publication EHEPA is a Civil Society Organization (CSO) specialized in social and behavior change communication (SBC), health education, and health promotion. One of its key focuses areas is Knowledge Management & Evidence Synthesis. To achieve this goal, EHEPA conducts various activities such as monthly seminars, manuscript writing, and publication on research data related to SBC in the areas of health, nutrition, and WASH. Additionally, EHEPA has collaborated with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to organize the 3rd National Social and Behavior Change (SBC) Summit to contribute collectively to the field of SBC by providing a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and experience exchange among SBC practitioners. Furthermore, the organization actively encourages manuscript writing and publication to disseminate valuable research findings in health promotion and health education. In the past years, EHEPA has made significant progress in this regard, developing nine manuscripts. Among them, two have already been published in peer-reviewed journals, while the remaining manuscripts are currently undergoing review process. In the second phase of this collaboration, EHEPA is committed to continuing its efforts in manuscript writing and publication. Interested applicants who meet the specified criteria are warmly invited to apply on this initiative. Application criteria • Applicants should have a strong background and expertise in the manuscript writing and publication. • Applicants must possess excellent research and writing skills. • Previous publication experience is desirable • Applicants must be able to meet deadlines and work efficiently to complete the manuscript within the specified timeframe. • Applicants must have good team work sprit and communication skills • Applicants should submit their CV or resume, highlighting relevant education, research experience, and publications. • Female applicants are highly encouraged to apply • Those who are active member of EHEPA will get priority Benefits of involvement • Selected applicants will have the opportunity to actively engage in manuscript writing and publication, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in their respective fields • Being part of the manuscript writing and publication team provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth by enhancing research and writing skills, gain experience in the publication process, analytical skills, and ability to effectively communicate complex ideas as well as improve their ability to effectively communicate research findings. • Working on a manuscript with a team allows you to collaborate with experts in your field.
